"Dealing with machine design in many projects, the division has greatly benefited from the partnership with CEDRAT. Finite elements simulations with Flux are commonly conducted at our division. Thermal computations have been conducted using both FLUX and Motor-CAD. In all our projects, the help coming from the support team at CEDRATis a great advantage and we are really thankful for it."

The Electrical and Energy Engineering Department is using FLUX 2D and 3D in research projects related with the design and analysis of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) considering not only the electromagnetic approach but also the thermal behavior. FLUX is able to manage complex and dynamic electromechanical systems including the control and the power electronic. We are also introducing this tool in teaching activities.

"Flux software is the leading tool in the lab to model new electrical devices (...) in cooperation with the major companies in the electrical engineering field. The long story that links Flux to the G2ELab has been so rich that for sure it is not going to end soon"
Dr Yves MARECHAL - G2ELab (INPG)
“Modern design of electrical machines requires nowadays powerful tools for the simulation of the electromagnetic phenomena. Flux 2D fulfilled these expectations both for research projects and teaching purposes in Electrical Machines Department since 1995.”
